Front - Elise(53), Marilyn(46), Lianne(42), Lori(35)
I'm 33, the youngest of the girls and second to youngest in the family. My sister Chris(51) wasn't with us that day.
I never used to think we looked alike, but the older we get, the more I see it. We all have our different looks, but in general, I'm pretty sure you can tell we're related!!
I'm not close to all my siblings, but it's really good to see them all at least once a year. I really was sad to miss the Thanksgiving get-togethers while we were in Brazil. Something about having all of us together is really fun, even if it's only for one day a year.
Then the boys - Doug(55), Fred(54), David(48), Daniel(40), Ben(32)
I think my mom would have been proud to have seen these pictures. Well, maybe not. My mom wasn't a proud woman. Oh, I think she was proud of us, but not prideful that she was the one who gave birth to and raised all of us. I think, in general, she would have been proud to have seen her grown kids and their families. I wish I could hug her and tell her thank you for all she taught me, whether it was intentional or unintentional. While we were home, I really noticed my mother's eyes in some of my siblings. Two of my brothers, especially. A few of my sisters. It made me wish so badly that Mom could be with us. That would have made Thanksgiving really awesome. However, I am very thankful to have been with my dad and thirteen of my fourteen siblings. It was great.
