First Ponytail. . .

Finally!! We were able to pull off her first tiny ponytail! It didn't last long as she really loves to pull things out of her hair. We tried though. So many people call Adri a "cute little guy" that I'm convinced she either needs to get her ears pierced or she needs a little ponytail!

Was searching for my GF's blog and came across yours and started reading and laughing. Came to your post about your dd, Adri, being called a "cute little guy." My dd was hair challenged and her hair too short for a ponytail! I was worried if she was going to become a tomboy rather than a girlie girl.

One day, our daughter was called a boy three times in one day. At that point, guess I knew I was going to "be one of those moms " who pierced their dd's ears. I just accepted it as a ticket for her to girlihood.

Undecided, one day, I asked our ped who was supportive. She gave me some tips for moms having their dd's ears pierced. I took her Piercing Pagoda the next day just to ask a few questions about infant ear piercing. Well, when I told the manager about her being called a boy, she laughed knowing our dd was a girl, and said, she could fix our dd forever from being mistaken for a boy with some little earrings even if she she had little or no hair! Well, in a moment of weakness, I said yes and the next thing you know I was picking out earrings and she had gotten her bling! I felt bad for a moment, but she looked adorable so what could I do? Sounds like you've been thinking about it too. Just wanted to reassure you were not alone in your predictament!

If you'd like our ped's tips, then write me an e-mail.
