In July, we said goodbye to our favorite Brazilian friends, the Carrions. We were so sad to find out their assignment here was ending early. The girls had a great time together that evening and I kept hoping the evening wouldn't end. Little ones can't stay up all night though, so we finally called it a night.
The leftover fireworks were a hit! Clara and Lucas had never seen sparklers before, so we were happy to introduce them to an American favorite!
After watching his sister a few times, Lucas decided to get in on the action, but only with the help of his dad!

Fortunately for me, that evening wasn't our final meeting! Emma and Adri and I went to their hotel the day before they left the country to say one more goodbye!!

Such a great couple!! We are so grateful for our friendship with these two! Every once in a while, a couple crosses our path and we realize how blessed we are by that relationship. Carrions are one family that we will forever be grateful for!
Someday. . . we hope to be neighbors once again!!
