This miniature Ferris Wheel reminds me of the Sharon Springs Fair.
Wednesday was the first day that Emma and I were alone, which is what normal used to be. We had a great morning. We played in the room for a bit, went downstairs for a yummy breakfast of fresh fruit and fruit juices and then went out for a walk. We walked the streets of Horizontina for about an hour before returning to the park, which is conveniently located across the street from the hotel! I let Emma run around and play in the sand. The playground equipment is a little out of date, but Emma didn't seem to care. (Now I know what you mean, Cortney!) The sand is soft and very red. After a few minutes of playing, I realized it wasn't a good idea for Emma to have shoes on. Her shoes and socks were a dark reddish brown in no time at all! I understand now why it's so important to have someone clean your shoes here! Anyway, we didn't speak a lot of Portuguese yesterday, but we sure had a good day! It was a really warm day, probably in the 80s, and it just felt good to get some exercise! Yay for sunshine!

Miss Emma looks like a Brazilian already in her bright colors! Glad to see you two out on your own and enjoying yourselves! Yeah for the manual transmission! Enjoy today!
