Ready. . . Set. . . Go Find Eggs!!
Emma was pretty excited about her first Easter egg hunt. At first she wasn't sure what to do, but it only took her a few seconds to figure it out! She became a girl on a mission! We were impresssed at her ability to find the eggs so quickly and put them in her little basket! She had fun watching her cousins find the eggs, too! Grandma Marcy had some baby chicks that had hatched and Emma loved petting them and watching them run around. Every day she would walk to the laundry room and say, "Baby Sicks, baby sicks!!" Then she'd ask if they were loud. After finding all the eggs, they were divided evenly between the cousins and Emma had tons of fun opening her eggs! She especially liked her purple star sunglasses and the eggs that had cookies in them! While it was very fun for all of us to find eggs and open them, I really had a good time reading the Easter story to Emma over and over and over. One of my most favorite things she's said in the last few weeks had to do with Jesus. Normally, I say, "I love Emma!", to which she responds, "I love Daddy, too." Occasionally, she'll say, "I love Mommy, too!", but normally she responds with daddy. I'm not jealous:) Last week, around Easter, out of nowhere, she said loudly, "I love Jesus, too!!" How precious, I thought!
