Sunday Churassco. . .

A fun pool toy. . . although it's too cold for the pool right now
Alex's daughters played with Emma and shared their baby dolls
Sunday we went to a churassco at a friend's house. Alex works with Kevin and his wife invited us over for lunch. A churassco is similar to an American BBQ. It's very traditional here. It seems like that's what people do every Sunday for lunch and for every special occasion. However, the grills here are different. I'll have to explain that in another post, after I take pictures. Anyway, we had a great time with the family and were able to practice our Portuguese. Emma had a great time running around inside and outside. She played with the girls and their dolls and was very curious the whole time. After we ate, the older daughter played guitar and sang for us. She's been playing guitar for about a year. Kevin and I were really impressed with her talent, but even more impressed that she was singing songs in English! We had a great afternoon with them and we're hoping to spend more time with them in the future. We're excited that they only live about 4 blocks from our new home! Yay for fun neighbors!
