Biking with Daddy. . .

Last Saturday Kevin took Emma out to run some errands. He came home with a super-cute pink helmet and a bike seat for Emma!! I have to admit, I was way more excited about the cuteness of the helmet than the safety, but I'm happy she'll not only be safe, but really cute:) Emma was a little timid for her first ride, so Kevin only took her out for a few minutes. I think she was surprised at how well she liked it, though. Once it gets a little warmer, I think we'll go for more bike rides. (FYI - the seat is supposed to go on the front of the bike, but that makes for a rather uncomfortable ride for the driver. So. . . my engineer husband rigged up something that would allow Emma to ride safely behind him. Oh, he used scrapwood from the house we're renting and random objects from a box of miscellaneous hardware and brackets that I thought he should have thrown away years ago and the whole thing was inspired by a Red Green episode we watched when we were first married. The funny thing is that whenever he makes something, it always works and it's always safe and he always ends up using something that I said he should have thrown away years ago. I'm glad he doesn't listen to me all the time:)

too cute! we actually just bought Char a helmet too, not because we have a seat on our bike, but because she's such a speedy daredevil on her little bikes - ha!

looks like you're getting settled in there!
