Cooking Up a Storm. . .

Oreo Cheesecake ******** Marcy's Coffee Cake

Vegetable Soup ******** Banana Bread

Herb Roasted Chicken with Red Peppers and Onions
Now that we're in our home, I have a kitchen, my pots and pans, and lots of free time. Food is fairly cheap here and it's just easy to buy lots of fresh produce. I made chocolate chip cookies and sour cream coffee cake for Kevin's birthday. For his birthday lunch, I made the Herb Roasted Chicken, using a massive red pepper I had found the night before in Santa Rosa. We had friends over to help us with the Oreo Cheesecake. . . OK, I guess it'll be named Bauny Cheesecake here. They don't actually have Oreos, but what I used is pretty close. We've made a ton of guacamole with the giant avocados, too. I cut up about 12 different kinds vegetables for my soup and then added some pepper and garlic and other spices. It was delicious and I was happy to be eating so healthy! Even though the Banana Bread isn't the most healthy food in the world, it was gone in a few hours! The bananas here are really sweet and the bread tasted just a little bit better! OK, now my mouth is watering and I need to get ready for dinner! Tonight we're having homemade pizza with veggies and salad!!

Looks fantastic Sandi! Enjoy. And I'm jealous of having a maid! I'd love to have someone clean my toilets too. Maybe someday.
