Just Because. . .

She's getting really good at the fake cry. I'm getting really good at discerning the fake cry. Good enough that I knew I could take a picture and she'd really be OK.

I love these letters. When Emma was only a few weeks old, we went to Des Moines and I bought them at a Hobby Lobby. While she was taking naps, I spent time painting the colored stripes on the white letters. By the time I painted the A, I had learned to make the stripes fairly straight and I didn't have a lot of touchups to do. Whenever I see those letters, I'm reminded of the afternoons and evenings in our Asbury home when Emma was first born. . . and I smile.
PS Kevin made the mirror she's looking into (more memories) and his dad made the dresser, which used to be her changing table! Gotta love those talented Schrags!

I remember when you painted those letters!!! I still remember the blue tape on the letters, and wondering why you chose that ugly bright blue!!! The look much better without it. Miss you guys!
