The Cathedral of Stone, or the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes, is in downtown Canela, which is a few short miles from Gramado. It's one of the main tourist attractions in Canela, along with the Cascata do Caracol. One funny reason that Gramado and Canela are tourist towns is that snowfall can occur! Not normal, but it could happen! It's winter here right now, which is somewhat comical because it was in the 70s and 80s the whole time we were on vacation! Needless to say, we're really enjoying the winter here!

Hey Schrags! I just wanted to leave a little note saying how much I enjoy reading your blog and I'm super sorry I don't comment more often (or ever). I'm a TERRIBLE commenter. I just take-take-take from peeps blogs. There. That's my confession. I read and don't comment. ANYWAY. Thank you so much for all of the fun writing, pictures, stories and Emma-isms. It makes me smile, miss you and wish I could hop on over to Brazil. hUmmm...what a great idea. Will you take me for fondue PLEASE?
