Clara is the daughter of Leandro and Monika and she's four days older than Emma. Kevin and I met her in December when we came to Brasil for our initial visit. I had been awaiting the day the girls would meet and it was really a fun evening for us all!! Leandro works with Kevin, but at another factory near Porto Alegre. When we were there last week, we all went to eat together and the girls were able to play for a bit. I haven't seen Emma this happy in a long time! She was goofy and giggly and all smiles! The girls had so much fun running around together and my heart was so full! I'm looking forward to the next time we get to spend time with each other! Since one of the most difficult aspects of being here is watching Emma be alone, it was an answer to prayer that she was able to communicate with another little person. Clara doesn't speak English, but she speaks perfect Portuguese and I think they understood each other. Laughter and smiles speak a thousand words!!
