Journey of Life. . .

Over the last several months, our hearts have been broken by events that have affected people we love very much. We have been appalled by some events, heartbroken by others, and saddened by every one. In May I wrote about a college roommate of mine whose 4-year old son passed away unexpectedly, just nine months after their infant son had also passed away. Leah is an incredible writer and has chosen to share her heart and part of their journey at the world to come.
The week after we heard about Leah's son, my friend Abbe sent me a very sad email sharing a horrible event that had happened to her son. Her boy is just a few weeks younger than Emma. Please, please read her story, especially if you have children. Read it if you don't have children. You can read her story at All Doll(ed) Up or click the link to the right. She has chosen to share her story with honesty and grace in the midst of pain and uncertainty.
These are just two of the stories that have been heavy on my heart the last two months. Because of privacy, I can't share the others, but they involve people we love very much and we'd just really love for you to pray with us for strength and healing in their lives.

Please don't take your children for granted. Please think twice before you complain about them. Take a minute to think about what life would look like if they were gone or affected in a way you could never take back. Treasure the little moments with them and thank God for the time you have with them. Give them a few extra hugs every day. Love them. Love them well.
