All of us woke up Sunday morning and drove over to the waterfall near Canela, Cascata do Caracol. We hiked from the entrance back to the river and all around the park. It's such a beautiful area of the country and I love that it's within driving distance of our little town.
Ella and Josie are the daughters of Steve and Sue, one of the couples who came with us to Gramado. I went with the three girls on a little train ride and we ended up in a little "old town" somewhere within the park. We weren't really sure what we were doing and didn't know if we had to catch another train, so we hurried through the odd town and only took a few pictures. After we walked out of the place, we saw some quati, the animal that looks a little like an anteater and a little like a raccoon, but ugly either way.
