Papa Ben and Uncle Dave. . .

My older brother David. He's so good with the babies.

Emma was the 40th grandchild. Adri was the 52nd. He's a proud grandpa. It was fun for me to see him hold Adri and play with Emma. By "play", I mean he showed her all his "goodies" that he had picked up from recent auctions. He's pretty much into anything, but glass objects seem to really catch his eye. I'm not really sure when it started, but he has a terrible habit of buying stuff just because it's "a good deal". You can get lots of junk for a quarter, you know!! He's always trying to pawn stuff off on his kids, but he can't figure out why nobody really wants his "treasures". Kevin and I are always entertained by his stories. We usually end up leaving with something small. Emma has a few glass paperweights and this time we left with a glass-handled magnifying glass. He's a happy man when he can "bless" others with his things! I'm thankful for the time we got to spend with him, just relaxing around my childhood home. We also got to see my brother Daniel, his wife Karen, and their two kids. Caleb read us some stories for his homework and we had a great evening just hanging out with them. Time flew by way too quickly while we were in Goodland, but I'm thankful for the chance we had to visit.
