We stayed one night north of Burlington at my sister Janette's house. While Emma played with her cousins, Kevin went out to help with the cattle. Farm life is hard, that's all I have to say. I'm not sure I could do what my sister does. She has five little ones to help her out, though:) I enjoyed spending time there and hearing all about life on the farm. At one point Kevin asked me what I thought about him buying a farm and moving out west. I don't think we got very far into that conversation. There's something so enticing about it. . . and yet, not. Janette and another sister, Sharon, live just a few miles apart in eastern Colorado, just north of Burlington, out in the middle of nowhere. It's so peaceful out there. Land as far as the eye can see. Quiet, except for a cow bawling every once in a while. Wind blowing. The air is so fresh and clean and dry and dusty, all at the same time. I love the smell of the air there. It's always soooo good to visit. I'm just not sure we're ready to live there. I look forward to going back, though. Fun and again, short visit. The next day, we headed to Ft. Collins.
