Teresinha. . .

Teresinha is our maid. I feel so snooty writing that I have a maid, but rather than try to explain how necessary it is to have her (without sounding lame), suffice it to say she's just needed. We had to fire our first maid after 16 months and that was an awful experience. I went three months without someone and then decided I couldn't do it. Houses and the upkeep with them is just so much more difficult and time-consuming here. About the time my friend Mollie left, I decided it was time again. Teresinha worked for Mollie for three years, so I knew she was trustworthy and reliable. She started working for us the week after Mollie left. She's now been with us for 16 months. This woman is amazing. She's sweet, kind, hard-working, caring, and just plain awesome. She works harder than people half her age. She loves on the girls and her help has made my life so much easier. I have never taken her for granted and I will forever remember how great it was to have her here two mornings a week. I will miss her greatly!! I'm not the only one who loves her. . . one day Emma informed me that she is going to be a maid when she grows up! She loves to help Teresinha clean and she pretends to iron clothes with her toy iron. I'll be sure to put her to work when we get into our new house!!
