Where We've Been. . .

 I think I've forgotten how to blog. Some day I'll get back to it. For now, here's where we're going to live. . . hopefully by the end of next week. It's ours. . . we just don't have our things from Brazil yet. The sea shipment cleared customs today and should be coming sometime next week!! Oh how ready we are to be living in our new home!!

Since the first week of July, we've been living in a 2-bedroom, furnished apartment. We have a nice walk-in closet that we've made into Adri's bedroom, so it actually works out very nicely. We are so very thankful for this apartment, but we are going to be very happy to have our own home and not have to climb to the second level every day:) Can't wait!!!  We have been driving back and forth between the apartment and the house pretty much every single day for the past three weeks. I spend my time there cleaning (mostly dog hair from the previous owner's dog) and playing with the girls. We don't have internet at the house yet and by the time I get back to the apartment, I'm too tired to think about updating pictures and other things. This transition period hasn't been the most fun for me, but it's getting better. There are so many things to share about this whole repatriating experience. Some days I don't if it's been a hard day because we just moved or because we moved to a totally new place or because I'm six months postpartum or because I'm lonely or because I've been out of touch with this country for three years or if it's just a hard day because those days happen to everybody. At any rate, I'm looking forward to settling down a little bit and finding our new normal.

Hope to catch up more sometime soon, but that's not looking too promising. Maybe a few more weeks??
