Emma was pretty much plastered to the windows the entire day it snowed here. It's the first time in her life she can remember seeing snow and she was beside herself! The last time she was around snow, she was 18 months old and we didn't really play in it all that much. We never saw a single snowflake in Brazil because it didn't get cold enough where we lived. Oh, it was cold there, just not cold enough for snow! I loved watching Emma's reaction to the snow. She was just in awe the entire day. Once the ground was covered in a blanket of white, she wanted to run and play in it. Unfortunately, it was so cold and the wind was blowing so hard that we couldn't even go out.
I don't know how many times she threw her hands over her mouth and gasped at the blowing snowflakes. She really was shocked and actually said, "I can't believe it's real snow!" After 6 months back in the States, there are still things that surprise us. Snow is one of them!
