At the end of April, Emma and her Classical Conversations classmates gave a final presentation to friends and family. She was so excited for her program and practically counted the minutes until the show. Each class presented snippets of what they had learned this year and then the entire group sang a few songs, ending with the Timeline song. The Timeline covers over 160 events and people and the kids memorize them in order. As they grow older, they gain a deeper understanding of what each event is and its importance in our history. I'm just amazed at how their little minds absorb so much! Emma loves learning, especially if it involves memorizing a song!
Many of the songs have actions that help the kids remember the words. It was almost bedtime for the kid next to Emma:) He was yawning, not singing. Lucas has to be one of the cutest kids in the world. He's probably the best little public speaker I've even seen! It's captivating to watch and listen to him present something. Some days I wish I could take him home with me!
Emma loves performing for people. She did not get that from me! To this day, I'm not a fan of getting up in front of people. Emma says it's fun and she really enjoys herself!
I think she's adorable! We were so proud of her!
After the show. . .
Such a big, little girl! She's had an amazing year of school and I am so proud of all she's learned! I love looking back and seeing where she's come since last August! It's just been fun to watch her learn and get excited about life and all that's around her!
Rebekah is one of Emma's friends at CC as well as ballet. They don't have class together, but they see each other a few times a week. Emma has really latched on to her new friend and it's neat to see how she looks up to Rebekah.
I can't believe how quickly the CC semester passed! The months flew by and now it's time for a break. Wow! I'm so happy we took a risk and got involved with the CC community. I feel like I've grown along with Emma and that feels good. We're already looking forward to the next semester and all that's in store for the coming year!
