Family Night with Operation Christmas Child. . .

Packing boxes for Operation Christmas Child is a huge highlight for our family in November! We started doing it when we were in Brazil because we could "pack" a box online. When we returned to the U.S., we were excited to know our church supported this ministry! We spent one evening shopping for two boys and two girls and then another evening packing the boxes.
Each year we learn a little more about what the kids might want or need. This year, through a friend of mine, I learned that OCC makes sure each box has a stuffed animal. One reason for this is because children are often lured into slavery with something as innocent as a stuffed animal. If they have a stuffed animal of their own, there's less of a chance they'll be enticed by a cruel person.
We decided to pack a box for each member of our family. It was exciting to think about the kids who were going to receive the gifts. We prayed over the boxes and for the kids who would receive them. Some day I think it would be amazing to travel with Samaritan's Purse to deliver boxes to children in other countries!!
This girl loves to give and bless others!! I love her heart!
Adri wanted to make sure the boxes were sturdy enough!
Love this organization!!
