John Deere Harvester Works, where Kevin currently works, recently celebrated their 100th anniversary. This also happens to be the 175th anniversary of John Deere. Harvester opened the doors and let everyone, including kids, walk through the factory. We were able to see a combine created from start to finish!! It was fun to see the inside of where Kevin works. After the tour, Emma jumped and played in the bounce houses while Adri and I watched. It was a beautiful day for the celebration. As we stood talking, I realized (again) how new I am here. The only person I recognized was a man who had come to visit Brazil one time while we were living there. There were thousands of people there and I didn't know anybody. Some of the anonymity is nice, I have to admit. Since it won't always be like this, I'll enjoy it for now.
We came home and enjoyed an evening outside. Adri is 7 months old in these pictures. Emma had more hair at birth than Adri does now. It's starting to grow in, but it's so blond that you can still see her scalp. There's a teeny tint of red to it, but nothing like Emma's. I'm interested to see how she'll look once she gets some more hair!!
