This was our cute little hotel at the foot of the mountains in Hohenschwangau.
I opened our back door to look outside and I heard cowbells ringing!! Occasionally, I'd hear a moo-moo here and a moo-moo there, but the bells were just a sweet, unique little sound. I'm pretty sure I've never stayed somewhere like this! I loved it!
From this hotel, we were a 5-minute drive from the Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau Castles. We drove over to Fussen for dinner that night and walked around Fussen. Because it was so chilly and still a holiday, we didn't get to see a whole lot. Seemed like a cute town, but warmth was more important to me at that time. We returned to the hotel slept well.
