My niece Erica flew to Cincinnati to take care of Emma last week while we were in class. Emma loved playing with Bryana and this week, every day she asks if Bryana is taking a nap, even though they went home a week ago! There's a water fountain a few blocks from our hotel and we took the girls there a few times! Emma calls it the water mountain and asks to see it several times a day! It's been cold and rainy here this week, so we haven't played there too much.

The flowers are in full bloom, so the park is beautiful. It was fun to relax a little and "smell the flowers". However, we had to remind Emma not to pick the flowers!

Last Friday was a beautiful day so Erica and I took the girls to the water fountain and let them play for quite a while. They both could have played there for hours! It was nice to get a little sun on our faces and I think the girls enjoyed getting some fresh air!
Bryana's going to be walking soon! She loved standing by the water fountain and they both loved splashing in the water! Erica did a great job of hauling the girls around. . . Emma in the umbrella stroller and Bryana in the backpack carrier. She mentioned people did double-takes, wondering if both girls were hers. We were talking and realized that it was totally possible! My two oldest brothers are a week short of a year apart, which is exactly the age difference between Emma and Bryana! I think Erica and I are both realized what a big job it would be to have two children so close together! Kevin and I are so thankful that Erica was able to be with us last week. Knowing that Emma was being taken care of allowed me to focus more on learning Portuguese. This week has been more difficult because she's in class with me. Thanks again Erica for helping us out! I really enjoyed spending time with you and Bryana and it was fun to have family here with us! Hope you two are recovered and doing well!
