The lady holding the boy over a bowl was probably the weirdest statue. I'm not really sure what the point of it was, but he was pretty much naked from the waist down. . . yep, this picture is somewhat censored!
The airport had a loud-speaker announcing flights and had it not been in Portuguese, it might have been annoying. I thought it was cute! Everything was cute. . . it was all mini!
I really really like this castle! Look familiar??
I loved the replicas at Mini Mundo. The creators went to such extent in the detail of the exhibits! I especially liked the exhibit on the left. I feel like it's a real-life picture! The accident on the right was amazing too. The little men even had angry expressions on their faces!
We were shocked at Emma's response to the Urso (bear)! She looked at him and practically ran into his arms, grinning all the way! We expected some fear, but it was as if she knew exactly who she was going to say Hi to. Very fun and not near as emotionally devastating as Santa Claus was last year!
Mini Mundo and the Kikito statue, which is the Brasilian version of an Oscar. The Kikito Film Festival was being held in Gramado the weekend we were there. However, since we don't know any famous people here, it wasn't that big of a deal to us. The chocolate stores had miniature Kikito statues made of solid chocolate and that was pretty neat!
Crazy girl. . . she loves to jump off of things!
Supposedly it's good luck to take a picture with the Chimney Sweep! We don't really believe in the good luck stuff, but he was so nice and we thought we'd enjoy the memory!
I guess Emma misses the snow. Oh well, here's her snowman for the year!!
Our first morning in Gramado was packed full! We slept in:), which was on the agenda, had a great breakfast of fresh fruits and apple strudel, and then went to Mini Mundo! It was a park full of miniature buildings, mostly from Germany, and lots of cars, people, churches, and other little things. I've always loved tiny versions of real-life objects and people and other things so I thought this park was really cute!! I think Emma was more interested in the bubble machine and wishing well (which weren't miniature) than anything! We're glad she had fun though!!

that statue looks like when I am holding the girls to go to the bathroom in a public restroom- funny! Emma looks so happy with that bear. I do have to say that the bear looks cute and not as scary as others I have seen! Jen
chim-chiminey, chim-chiminey, chim-chim charoo, good luck will rub off when he shakes hands with you.
(I think that's how you spell it anyway). A little Mary Poppins never hurt anything!
