Our Halloween. . .

Emma didn't dress up. She didn't trick-or-treat. We didn't hand out candy, even though a group of kids came to our door. I had forgotten about the evening and all I had on hand were some banana oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. So, that's what the kids got:) They frowned and ate the cookies that the strange American woman gave them.
We did, however, have fun painting a pumpkin and a squash I found at the fruit and veggie store! Emma loved it! I think we'll have to do it again sometime soon! Some day I'm going to take her to a pumpkin patch in the U.S., and instead of using nail polish and finger paints, we'll actually carve a pumpkin!! Until then, this will do:)
