Emma had fun creating this nativity scene. The diamonds in the sky are angels. The diamond in the manger is a ball for Baby Jesus. Because she's still learning to draw bodies, Mary and Baby Jesus only have legs. . . no torso. The three wise men are next to Joseph and one of the wise men lost his head. It's been so much fun for me to watch Emma's drawings get more and more detailed. Every day she draws something new. Crafts are by far her favorite activity to do during the day. Since she's on summer break from school, we have much more time for crafts.
I found this little mouse craft idea in a book someone loaned me. It's so simple and we had fun doing it. Using an ink pad, you make thumb prints all over a page. Then you draw ears and a tail and decorate the mice however you choose. I happened to have some rhinestones and glitter on hand, so we made our mice fancy-schmancy.
