This is Danny, one of Emma's classmates from school. His mom is Cris, one of my favorite women in Horizontina. We didn't get together a lot, but we saw each other almost every when we took our kids to school and picked them up. Our conversations were usually short, but every once in a while we'd get to have a longer one. Cris was sweet and very easy for me to be around. When I let her know we were leaving on such short notice, she immediately asked if she and Danny could come visit us one last time. Danny was always Emma's favorite boy at school. . .until Ethan arrived. Two days before we left, they came over for a little playdate and Cris brought Emma a little gift she had made. She also gave me a rug that her mother had made. We were sad to say goodbye, but because Facebook has made it's way to Brazil - and all the Horizontina folks are hooked on it - we'll be in touch for quite a while now!!
