Since we started getting together, we've added seven kids to the group! It's been so much fun watching these kids grow up over the years! We were considering how we could work out the whole arranged-marriage thing, but maybe we'll just let the kids decide who their spouses will be:) We might try to sway their opinions, though;)
Everyone arrived at our house on Saturday afternoon. The kids played the rest of the evening and then Diane did story time with them before bed. The adults might have eaten large quantities of Whitey's ice cream after the lights were out. The six of us stayed up late catching up on life and then the ladies stayed up reeeally late. . . because that's just what we do when we get together!
After a really late night, I wasn't totally prepared for these crazy kiddos to be awake so early. They were awesome, though, and all grabbed books and sat on the couch reading while waiting for the day to begin! How awesome are they?
Because it was St. Patrick's Day, and because we had read Dr. Seuss's book, Green Eggs and Ham, the night before, I decided to make a silly breakfast of fruit smoothies and green eggs and ham. I let the kids crack their own eggs and give me ideas on how to make the eggs green. It was really a fun morning!
