Look what Kevin found in our backyard the other night!!!
He had finished mowing and was edging around the house and down by the fence next to our drainage ditch when he came across this newly-born fawn. I had been out with the girls and he called me to tell me what he had found. I didn't realize how tiny it would be. It was huddled up on the ground, hiding amongst the tall grasses. The mother was nowhere to be found. We were literally six inches from it and I wanted so badly to pick it up and cuddle with it! It's little mouth was quivering and it just looked so sweet and snuggly!
It was just a little bit bigger than Adri. I couldn't believe how tiny and beautiful it was. Emma asked if we could keep it as a pet and I was tempted to beg Kevin for the same thing:)
After ten minutes of gawking over the fawn, we finally let it alone. I went out yesterday morning to see if it was still there and it wasn't. I'm hoping the mama deer found it!
Such a sweet little thing!
