On Good Friday, we drove from Ft. Collins out to north of Burlington, where my sister Janette lives. When we got there, she and the kids were on their way home, so we just played outside in the sun. I don't think you can see a neighbor from where I was standing. It was so quiet and peaceful on their property. The kids just roamed around the farm and enjoyed the freedom of the wide open space.
Shortly after Janette came home, the kids piled into the back of the truck and went down to feed a baby calf. These truck pictures remind me of growing up. I rode in the back of a pickup countless times when I was a kid. Most memorable were the times our softball team would load up in the back of a teammate's truck and the driver would haul us down to the Dairy Queen for ice cream cones.
Here are eight of Emma's cousins:
Joseph, Emma, Jasmin, Olivia, Ranger, Casja, Joslin, and in the back are Ariane and Sadie
Kevin ended up riding in the back with the kids. We're all farm kids at heart, but we still think adult supervision is wise!
Emma played so hard she could barely keep her eyes open at the end of the day! She went to bed smiling and happy. I could tell her mind was full of all that had happened and it made my heart happy to see her so content! I'm thankful to have all my sisters to see, but I'm also thankful that Emma has so many cousins and gets to experience so many things when we're visiting family.
