Every Thanksgiving we travel to western Kansas/eastern Colorado to visit my side of the family. For the past several years, my sister Sharon has opened her home to the masses and graciously hosted over eighty people for the celebration! Just outside their country home is this amazing barn they had built last year.
Thanksgiving is celebrated with a lot of food, family and fun. It's hard to describe the day. Mostly, I just captured family faces!!

Lots of fun little conversations were had and it was one of the more enjoyable holidays for me! We missed three Thanksgivings with my family when we were in Brazil, so I feel even more grateful for these past two we've been able to attend!!
The sisters had a gift exchange and then the nieces and nephews each traded gifts as well. My family doesn't get together for Christmas, so it's a small way to still give gifts. We talked, ate, talked, ate some more, talked some more, and then ate again while we were talking. By the end of the evening, we were all exhausted!!
